Der Dokumentarfilm erzählt von einer Liebesbeziehung zwischen einem linken Südtiroler Filmemacher und einem kubanischen Aktivisten. Als sich dessen politische Überzeugungen zunehmend nach rechts verschieben, geraten Liebe, Ideale und gemeinsame Zukunft ins Wanken.
Sullo sfondo suggestivo delle Alpi, Matthias e Sadiel vivono una storia segnata da tensioni politiche e ricerca d’identità. Deluso dal comunismo cubano, Sadiel si avvicina alla destra mentre Matthias resta fedele alle proprie idee. Un ritratto intimo che intreccia amore, politica e ironia.
The documentary tells the story of a romantic relationship between a left-wing South Tyrolean filmmaker and a Cuban activist. As the activist’s political views shift increasingly to the right, their love, ideals, and shared future begin to falter.
